Efficient, Clean and Safe Burning:

Pyromid® System Products reduce fuel consumption by up to 75% while creating significantly less unburned smoke particles and noxious gas. The stove reaches cooking temperatures within minutes. The System benefits from an enclosed, reflective, pyramidal design that has the added virtue of completely enclosing the fire, making the Pyromid® stove safe for use in fire sensitive areas.

Compact, Simple Design:

A Pyromid® Stove folds flat to less than one inch thick and can be stored in a small carrying case. No tools are required to set up any Pyromid® System. The stove parts unfold and are set up in less than one minute. They can be washed in a stream, put in the dishwasher or wiped off after use. The stove can then be folded flat and stored under the seat of an RV or in a backpack. If you are interested in seeing how the stove is assembled, you can go to this page.

Durable:

Each stove product is made with high quality bright stainless steel. Pyromid® Products are durable and long lasting even under constant use. All Pyromid® stoves are made from durable 430 stainless steel which allows for quick cooling, easy maintenance, low heat transfer to the base, overall strength, thermal durability and high thermal reflectivity. Manufacturing these products from high quality stainless steel provides excellent performance and easy maintenance even in corrosive (salt water) or humid environments.

Reasonable Cost:

The stove represents excellent value when compared with any other cooking system. They represent a good value to the local populace when manufactured in Third World countries. Paul Hait, the inventor and developer of the Pyromid® Outdoor Cooking Systems, has developed designs that are disposable.

Universal Fuel Stoves:

The Pyromid® stove is a universal fuel stove, enabling the system to burn any reasonable bio-mass fuel. This includes any sticks, twigs, peat, briquettes, alcohol, or other wood products. If a fuel is selected that may impart a flavor to the food, or may not be appropriate for grilling foods, the PyroGriddle™ can be used, or the food can be prepared in a pot on the grill. When using appropriate hardwoods or charcoal, the taste of the prepared food is enhanced by cooking directly on the grill. The stoves are not dependent on a supply of petrochemical fuel to be functional.

Many people have asked about the type of briquettes we recommend. There is a great deal of information, and opinions, on briquettes and charcoal. We have put some of this information on our charcoal page.
