One of the World's
leading environmental problems is the inefficient consumption of natural
fuel. This leads to the denuding of land, air pollution, land erosion
and other environmentally destructive results.
Although it is it
not widely recognized as a problem by many people in western society,
international relief organizations, the United Nations, the World
Bank and others are concerned with the dramatic effect this process
is having on the environments and economies of Third World countries.
An increasing number of resources worldwide are being focused on finding
solutions to combat this problem. Some put estimates of the population
this is affecting at more than three billion people.
The inefficient consumption
of fuels produces partially burned particles and noxious smoke containing
gases detrimental to the environment and people. As local populations
gather natural fuel from an already depleted landscape, the erosion
increases and further degradation of the environment results. This
damaging cycle causes problems that become increasingly difficult
to correct.
The Pyromid® stove
has combined innovative technology that allows natural fuels to be
burned in a much more efficient manner. Any or all of these technologies
